In our rush to make members, we sometimes forget our commission is actually to make disciples and that requires more than a weekly worship service. Making disciples means walking with people through life’s messiness. And grief is one place a believer’s faith is especially challenged. If we take shepherding seriously we must heed God’s direction to comfort his people. This video is a recording of a live lesson prepared specifically for seminary students, but it is something I believe most pastors would find helpful.
